Refinishing opinions

I'm no refinishing expert, but it seems to me that if the finish has a lot of damage, that stripping/refinishing may be the only option. Some fellows are able to selectively repair areas of a cabinet by just prepping and spraying the areas needing it. I tried this method on a 39-6 cabinet and a 40-150 cabinet. They look better than they did, but upon close examination you can tell they have been worked on.

Perhaps you could send Steve Davis a PM and ask his advice? Although, he uses a spray gun instead of the "spray bombs" of aerosol that I use (I don't have a compressor or spray gun setup).
