Congrats!! Post a pic of the completed radio and a few pix of the Cord, especially the interior and the engine! very unique car. Of the entire Auburn Cord Duesenberg company, I think that only Lycoming still exists, now owned by a different company. At one time, ACD also owned Checker. The company had a "Checkered" past (pardon the pun) as E.L Cord, Auburn Cord Duesenberg and Checker ran afoul of the Securities Exchange Commission over stock deals and antitrust issues. Production of Cords ceased in 1937. Cord was a pioneer of front wheel drive with the L-29 in 1929. The Cord 810 and 812 used a 289 CID Lycoming V8 (supercharged in the 812). The "coffin-nosed" body was designed by Gordon Buehrig who was also responsible for the Auburn 851 "Boattail" Speedster and the Duesenberg Model J, and later on, the 1955 and 1956 Lincoln Mark II.
