MrFixr55, wouldn't the 47-1230 expect 3v input on the phono in connector? And thus making a ceramic low by comparison?

Before I installed the vm-1200a on the 47-1230 I had it tested on other (modern) amps. Level was low on aux but somewhat appropriate on phono. That's why I ventured to make my own preamp.

I'd rather add an external preamp than alter the 47-1230 circuitry.
Perhaps I should just get a tube phono preamp...
