Yes, to answer your question, I’ve gone over budget on some of my own sets.
I don’t restore and collect radios to make a profit; for me, it’s all about the enjoyment of the hobby.
Ron, I really enjoy the challenge of getting them working again.
One set that I restored that I have more into it then it's worth is my General Electric model L-916 console counting what I paid for it and parts I say good $150.
