Hello,
New to these types of restorations and I am having a heck of a time desoldering the old caps. The radio is a 47-1230 and it is pretty crammed in there and the lugs have globs of solder on them. I have done PCB board desoldering before, but trying these is a battle. I have tried pumps and wicks, but I am having a heck of a time. Any tips or tricks you can offer? I am about to just say "forget it!" and either j-hook all these suckers or something more drastic.
Any help appreciated.
