Hello Peter,
thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I’m sure you remember that some home solid-state amplifiers used MOSFET transistors to produce a warmer sound. I have a 1970s Sony amplifier with MOSFETs, and my Hafler power amp also uses them.
