You mean those newer type that has reddish-brown paint but are of a size of 1/4W? No I do not use those much. Size matters 
so I try to use a larger body ones.
And, I simply do not do resistor replicas. To me using plastic is...questionable. And I tried to get the ceramic tube cut for me, but it fizzled.
