Hi apERNA, what you have sounds like typical AM reception with noise at my location. That repetitive sound you had around ‘60’ on the dial is exactly the noise I have that I traced back to my electric meter, it’s the kind that sends your reading back to the utility company. Did you try a different radio where your Philco is? Take a portable transistor radio and go around your service meter and listen for that noise. When I did that at my house, the interference was so bad that’s all I could hear, it drowned out all reception! Otherwise, your radio sounded fine as you went up the dial!
