Hi Arran
What I meant by updating tubes was to replace the 5w4 that tested dead and put in a 6J7 that was missing. All the others tested ok. Two of the grid cap wires were replaced because they were falling apart. I cleaned up the caps as best I could with a small wire brush.
I don't know if the volume pot is original and sorry I don’t know the difference between a linear or log pot. It reads 1.9 Megs from lug1 to lug3.
I did use F5 on the pots and D5 on the switches.
I did have to change the output transformer. The original was dead. I had Philco 32-7027N that I installed. I looked at all the Philco catalogs and could not find a reference to that particular transformer. I believe it’s probably a Canadian model. I don’t know if that could be a problem.
