DeoxIT F5 FaderLube is a control cleaner, not a contact cleaner. For switches use DeoxIT D5 for base metal contacts such as yours. I have some switches with precious metal contacts which call for DeoxIT G5, so I have two sets of F5, D5, and G5. I have one set in the shop, and the other set in the Explorer for work.
