Phorum How-To #8: How Do I Find The First Unread Post in a Thread?
#1

Simple.

Notice the list of threads in any forum. Threads with new posts will have a red newspaper icon next to them:

(If it is a thread with no new posts, the newspaper or fire icon will be gray.)

Notice the red circles with short arrows inside, to the left of four of the topics? Notice also how each topic has a red newspaper icon to the left of each?

Hover your cursor over the red circle with arrow (if using a computer); a box labeled "Go to first unread post" will appear. Clicking or tapping the red circle with arrow will take you to the last post in that particular thread:

Note that this was the first unread post in the thread "Setting up my new Chairside!" in the Philco Home Radios forum at the time these screen captures were made (Sunday afternoon, October 3, 2021).

Now, if you ever want to see the last post in any thread, even an old thread with no new posts, you can do this also.

Clicking or tapping the Last Post link to the left of the last poster's username will take you to the last post in any thread...even if the thread has no new posts.

But wait...there's more!

From the Phorum home page, you will see a listing of Recent Posts to the right of Philco Radio Discussions. (For mobile users, scroll about halfway down the Phorum home page to see this listing.)

Click or tap one of those links to see the latest post in that thread.
