Hi John,
I have put WD-40 and some really good stuff I had when I worked at Coke. The shaft turns but will not come out. I am wondering if the set screw made a big enough burr on the steel to keep it from letting go.
EDiT: looks like I will have to try the cut and glue method. That shaft isn't coming out of there.
