And, finally...a Scott Philharmonic!

A few weeks ago, I noticed someone had posted over at the E.H. Scott forum, wanting to sell an E.H. Scott FM Philharmonic in a Warrington cabinet.

The price was right, so I dipped into some savings and bought it.

It looked pretty nice to me, but when I saw the serial number, I knew I had to have it.

Notice the serial number starts with my initials (RR)?

I have never used a shipping service before, but since the set was in southeastern Kansas, I used Craters & Freighters for the first time. I have to say, they did a good job - the set arrived here undamaged.

The set has no tweeters, and it is apparent that it never had any - there are no screw holes where they would have mounted. The woofer has a large "whizzer" cone.

All of the photos above were taken by the gentleman who was selling it for his neighbor.

I'll take some photos of my own and post here, after I clean this set up and reassemble it.
