philco model 47-1230 speaker plug connection ????
#7

OK...now that everything is hooked up correctly and the AM is alligned, I need to recone my speaker as it is badly torn....(I pieced it together with speaker glue enough to be able to use it for the allignment). A member from my club informs me that the specs on this speaker part no. 36-1595 should read 5.1 ohms for the voice coil and 650 ohms for the field coil....my reading are 3.6 ohms and 647 ohms respectively........so the field coil seems to be pretty much right on but the voice coil is a bit low......As I am not well versed in such matters I am asking for opinions on this forum before I take the time and expense to re cone....thanks Yan, I would be interested to know what your speaker measures as I am thinking that sometimes the reported specs may not be accurate......
