Almost had a Zenith 6-S-254 today but...
#1

Found out while I have been trying to deal on this radio off and on the past couple years that termites had somehow gotten into it! In fact, both the owner and myself felt sick after we pulled the radio out and found the damage, along with a little panic about the rest of his radios in his backroom. It looks like the came up through a crack in the old cement floor and, luckily, only attacked this console. This guy has been playing around with selling off a lot of his radios and getting out of that back room for the past two years and I am hoping this is the jolt he needs to do it as they are all getting damaged back there from dampness and lack of climate control. This should also serve as a lesson for us all to be vigilant about our collections we have stored away as the insect curse can strike any time! Icon_sad

No matter where you go, there you are.
