Philco grommets
#8

BDM,... Thanks for that info!! It makes perfect sense that those type grommets would have been used over front shafts for "positioning" issues in aligning the vintage Philco chassis with the cabinets! I have restored many, many vintage 1936-37 Philcos thru the yrs, and never knew I had parts "missing"!! Guess whoever serviced all my vintage Philco sets many yrs ago, never took time to reinstall them!! I learn something new everyday!! Thanks for taking time to post the photos!! I have had good luck before, by carefully positioning the old Philco chassis back into orig cabinets, without using any grommets over the shafts. I can also understand where these orig type grommets would have been used over the shafts to "secure" the chassis to cabinet by Philco for "shipping purposes",... to keep alignment of the dial-scales in place. Just glad to know someone still makes replacements, if I need em!! Thanks again for the knowledge you guys share!!! Randal Icon_wink
