I have a 38-3 that has an add-on part that attaches to the antenna terminals on the back of the radio chassis. It has a typical looking, rectangular, tower style cover that is approx. 2 - 3 inches tall. It then provides new screw terminals for antenna hook up. It clearly seems to be some type of add on antenna coil, but I've never seen one before, and am uncertain. I'm guessing it very well may be a Philco part based on its appearance. Any help identifying what it is would be appreciated.
