Hi Sam-Great to hear you are better. I was just thinking about you and was hoping you were OK.
The 37-690 and 38-690 are great sets with their 20 tubes. I hope to eventually get the 509X going with its measly 11(I think) tubes. It was lower production and higher cost than the 690's but that may be because no one liked them when new. My best sounding radio currently is my Capehart 410H, another big fellow with 3 chassis in it.
