Forming the wrap-around

I used 1/8 inch Luan to make the wrap-around. In order to bend the wrap, I first soak it for a full day.

After soaking, I bent the wrap and placed it between the legs of a small work table to hold it in a "U" shape.

The wrap was left to dry for two days to form.

This is a fixture I made for clamping the veneer to the curved wrap.
