Model 89, Code 121 (early version)
#1

Just for fun, here's a picture of an early AM-only Model 89.

[Image: http://www.philcoradio.com/images/phorum/89_121.jpg]

I acquired this some time ago from eBay...the seller sold cabinet and chassis separately...and I managed to acquire both at a very reasonable price.

Someone refinished the cabinet previously (and added the new grille cloth). From the front, it doesn't look too bad...but the veneer on the sides and top is lifting and cracking.

Ed Locker restored the chassis, and it plays like a champ. I reconed the speaker (which was not included with the cabinet and chassis, it was added later), and added the knobs.
