One more thing, for Arran: I looked in back of my Canadian 51T, and yes, it does appear to have a nice sheet of the bad stuff under the chassis.

I had forgotten about my Canadian 39-330AT. It has no asbestos. If it ever did, it disappeared before I acquired the set.
