What I meant was, when you showed it before the gluing down, there was a distinct moat between the piece and the surroundings, and after there is none, so I thought you filled it with something and then sanded.

OK, I understand.  There might be a more distinct line if I sand a little further, but this is where I stopped.  I figured that after grain filling, there will be a little more sanding and I wanted to leave room for that sanding.
