Grille cloth surprise!
#1

I just received my '35 Airline 62-136 (see photo below from the original ad) last night and wanted to find things I would need for the future restoration of it, including the grille cloth.  I thought for sure it would have to be something close, as I figured no one would reproduce the cloth for an Airline, right?  Wrong!  Richmond Designs Large Herringbone cloth is a dead on match!!!  Sweet!  It's on it's way to me now!  Thought I'd better buy it now, as you never know when it may no longer be available!

Steve Davis will make the missing upright bars that go in the grille area for me, once I give him the specs, so this radio restoration project is coming together!  I don't seem to be able to find anyone who has even a picture of this model, except the one on the Radio Museum listing that doesn't show a good close-up.  I have an original '35 Wards catalog on it's way to me now.  Fingers are crossed that there's a pic in that book.......

Now who reproduces the original pattern cloth for my Atwater Kent 80??  I didn't see anything like it on their site.....
