I'm Thanks guys! I'm very happy with it! I didn't expect the D-10 changer to work as well as it does. Once in a while it will fail to cycle at the end of a record but usually it will go through a stack of five or six records with no trouble. The 6" platter is what causes problems. Even with the heavy tracking force, the needle will sometimes jump when it's near the outside edge because some records wobble due to the overhang. This is especially true with 12" records. I get a better result if I start with a record on the platter and then start the changer so I'm playing the second record first and just using the first one for support. I think it's usually better to drop a record onto a record and not the tiny platter. There's a better air cushion that way. This thing really has great sound and a lot of volume! Since this is my first vintage record player I sort of feel like I'm listening to 78's for the first time! My modest collection has never sounded better!
BTW The bright dial comes from the fact that Philco used a 7W C7 Christmas bulb in these things!
