Philco 38a in stunning matt mustard
#16

Steve;
  Whenever you buy a painted cabinet, especially over a long distance, it's always a gamble as to what may be underneath. In some cases you get lucky, and find out that the tacky paint job was the result of bad taste, then other times you find out that it was for a coverup. Thankfully most of the time it's for the prior reason rather then the latter.

Its not really all that bad... it tells a story about its past so I may just tidy it up and leave it. Its on the backburner now anyway because the repairs will take a bit and the chassis is quite rusty so thats probably a full strip (and I don't have time / energy to spend on building a power supply for it)... I might see if I can get my 97 going instead and think about what to do with this...

There are no personal problems that can't be overcome with the liberal application of high explosives
