Methinks you need to replace the choke to supply the hv to the osc section. Let me see what I can find out abt it.

Well the generally consensus is that it should be abt 3Mh. I have some 2.5Mh jobs but the current rating is much higher than what you need and physically they're fairly large. Can you take a pic of the one that's in there now?

Here is the choke and at the bottom of the tube is the resistor that should read 33000 but reads 46000.

Well I can't get a photo to upload but the choke is about an inch long black with a green mark.

I found a choke on Ebay that is  2.5mh RF Choke 0.17amp 24 ohm and about the same size. 4 of them for 25 dollars

The choke arrived today. After replacing most of the resistors and installing the new choke I have full am reception including WSM Nashville! Just need a better antenna for better reception. Thanks for all the help with THIS radio. There will be more when I find them.

Now to refinish the cabinet.

Glad to hear you got it working , it's easy when you know how. Icon_angel You might want to wire in a 1amp fuse into the ac circuit for safety.

Thanks for you help I don't think that I could have done this without your help. My aunt and uncle will really enjoy seeing it work again.
