I picked up a nice 42-PT88 for a good price. The plastic grill is even in good condition but it's missing it's loop antenna. I'm sure I can make one but I need to know the number of turns necessary. A picture would be great too. I imagine there are other models that would have similar loops that I could copy also. Can anyone help?
Thanks,

Well, upon closer examination it appears that the loop is built into the wood cabinet. It's not missing at all but simply hidden. Now I have to figure out how to get the chassis out for service and still have a connection to the antenna.

Usuaslly no need to remove the loop antenna, unless you can't get the chassis out without doing so. You can use jumper wires to connect the loop to the radio when comes time to align it, and you won't have a serious error. But sounds like you are a long way from that point. Keep us posted.
