Found this console in a junk shop and wasn't able to move it to check for a label. Looks like five bands with a phonograph and a tuning eye. Need help identifying model number and year of manufacture.

Hello Ronin,
I have looked at Majestic catalogs and advertisements from the 30's, including the Rogers Majestic, and cannot find anything with that face on it. Any chance it isn't a Majestic? Joe

Definitely a possibility of being mis identified by the people at the store. I'll have to make another trip and and see if they let me move it and look for a label.

Let us know what you find. I like digging for radio ID's. I ran across a magazine on americanradiohistory.com (I think it was Service magazine) with an article on Majestic radios being upgraded/modernized. The new dial looked a lot like the one in your picture. Cheers!

Hey,
It looks like a 1941 Midwest K-18, 18 tube radio chassis with pull out phonograph. Hope this helps!

Took a close look today and decided to make a move on this one. Looks like all the parts are there including all tubes, speakers, record player, antenna, and knobs. Glass is in good condition as is speaker and phono plugs. Pictures to follow.

Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift

Hello Joe, I was wondering about the picture of the ww2 airplane next to your name. Its looks like a Curtiss P-64, if so not many of those are left in flying condition.
