Does a Philco 620 have a Dial Mask?
#1

This is the mask that is linked to the band selector to only illuminate the arrow for the band selected. From the riders parts list it looks like most of the other models in this series has this mask but the parts list for a 620 does not list these parts and my 620 does not have this mask. Is this correct?

Ron or Chuck will know for sure, but I used to have this model and I think it had a mask which simply made an arrow shaped light "beam" for each band and that all of the bands were lit all of the time.

Model 620 does not use a shadow mask. Instead, all three band indicators are always illuminated.

Model 625, which came out in January 1936, does include a shadow mask which makes only the pointer glow which corresponds to the selected band.
