Philco 610 speaker
#1

Can I find this same speaker in other Philco models? I need the complete assy. The output transformer, voice coil and cone assy, field coil and pot assy. Also need the 1st I.F., is it possible to find this same IF in other models? I've placed a WTB in Philco Wanted with part numbers if that info is needed to research. Thanks in advance.. Icon_biggrin

The 1st IF will probably be easier to find than the speaker will be. You can use any 460 kc IF transformer from any Philco receiver that will fit - an IF pulled from a 620 or 630 should also fit your 610.

A speaker from a 45C (P-19) will fit, but you would have to figure out where to mount the audio output transformer. Besides, since this set is in high demand, chances of finding just the speaker for one are not good.

A speaker from an 80B or 81B (P-5, P-6, P-8 ) is electrically identical, and has the same size cone, but is physically larger (mainly the field coil itself) than the P-27 used in the 610B.
