Audio driver transformer
#1

Just registered. I picked up a Philco shelf xcvr carcass of unknown model and date at a hamfest. It has a serial number tag D 09758.  No power xformer so I'm guessing it's an AC/DC rig.

I'm interested in getting specs for what I think is an audio transformer part number 32-8179N. It has at least one wire left that goes to the voice coil winding of an oval speaker.  Tube complement is 1 XXD, 1 7C6, 1 50L6 GT, 1 35Z5, 4 x 7b7 loctal base tubes.   I got it for a buck as a parts donor, and now I need a low power audio xformer for a breadboard project.

I'm not interested in a restoration so if any of you want parts from it RSVP. I have some remains of the wood cabinet but it's pretty rough.  tnx in advance, chuck

Hi Chuck and welcome,
It would be considered an audio output transformer. Pri 2K @ 40ma Sec 4 ohms.
