Philco 54 or 57?
#1

Hello

I found a 4 tube Philco according the wooden cabinet it looks like the model 54, but according to the wiring diagram it looks like the model 57 but the tube layout is different

I have:

1 x 80 rectifier
1 x 41 output
1 x 6C6
1 x unknown

The 57 circuit schematic shows 2 x 77´s, 1 x 42 and 1 x 80

I do not find any information on the voltages on the tube pins

Your help will be appreciated

Best Regards

Hi

Model 54 is an AC/DC set and uses five tubes. Models 57, 58 & 59 use four tubes: (2) 77, (1) 42, (1) 80.

6C6 is a substitute for the 77, but the radio will probably work better with a 77 installed.
