source for escutcheon screws
#1

Can someone recommend a source for those miniature wood screws that Philco used to attach escutcheons?   I need some for my 41-250 but I've often wonder where to buy them and what size are they?
Thanks,
Keith

The originals were darkened brass, oval head, Phillips screws. Maybe 1/4" long, going from memory here, maybe 3/8". #2 sounds right.

(Edit: Now, having seen the thread Terry referenced just above, #2 x 3/8" does sound right. But the head was oval, not round, made for a Phillips bit.)

I remember finding some in a hardware store many years ago. I should have bought every one they had, I guess...I haven't seen any like that since. The ones I found that time were identical to the original Philco screws.
