Could you tell me what type of wood I'm dealing with? Any accent or areas where darker lacqure were used? Appropriate style grill cloth? And where do you find those small staples used to hold the plastic dial cover in place? Thanks for the advice.

Hi

For the cabinet colors, I suggest Medium Walnut for the top, front panel and sides; Medium Dark Walnut for the trim between the front/top and sides, and along the bottom edge trim.

Appropriate grille cloth is Pattern #14 from Radio Grille Cloth Headquarters.

Sorry, can't help you on the staples...maybe someone else will offer a suggestion.
