Philco chair side radio A801 value
#1

Hello,
I have a philco chair side radio A-801.  It works although the cord is a bit frayed so we don't use it.  It seems in terrific condition otherwise.  I want to sell it and have no idea how or what value to establish on it.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thank you in advance.  Admin please delete post if not allowed.

Hi June and welcome,
It's a bit of an odd set in that it's an ac operated car radio in a chairside cabinet. From a style stand point it's not particularly appealing. I would take a guess and if the cord is cracking that the set hasn't been service in a long time. If it hasn't been serviced that's -. I'd say if it is in unserviced with a good finish and original maybe $50-70. All fixed up and a nice finish maybe $100-150 to the right person.

I was down in the basement in my dad's

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

Hi June - this forum is fine for asking about potential value.

If you do want to sell have a look at the rules in the 'For Sale or Trade' forum and create a thread there:

I'd also suggest adding pictures to help give folks an idea of condition.

Thanks, Terry, I appreciate the advice!

Thanks, Nathan.  I tried uploading photos but the files exceeded the size.  I didn't have the time to resize them yet, I'll try today but at this point I'm just going to put it on Craigslist for $100 and see what happens.

Best of luck! Craigslist is nice in that nothing needs to be shipped.
