I am not into those old sets but I have been starting to like them recently.. Ugh, Another thing to want, Times I have been electrocuted in 2021

Yep. Radios prior to 1924 and all of the battery supers (less RCA) are the ones most radio collectors are looking for - - - - - Don't tell anybody!!
The original tubes are hard to find and may cost more than the radio. To illustrate this - I just finished (yesterday) a Radiola III and a Balanced Amp. Both are being used as displays for the WD-11s and tipped WD-11s which are worth more than the radios. - - - I suppose that I could just make a stand for the tubes.

Amazing stuff - I'm fascinated by early radio apparatus, and how the technology changed in the prewar period as it became more common to own a receiver.
I don't hold with furniture that talks.
