interesting, those two links / forums you post here were started by tom, my friend and we were talking car stuff today about my 70 Ghia troubles and my 20th anny cougar.

He brought up that brand radio and mentioned he now has two,, probably the only guy on the planet with two complete examples.

not to say they are worth a darn,, curtain burners from what i understand but.. i am very interested in trying to find info.

tom is on both links is user 35z5.

I told him i'd jump up on the philco forum and ask around, he may drop in and start an account, very smart cookie like most of you all here.,, retired Sears repair man.

I can't even see the pictures, whomever posted them on the ARF used Photopottie and now they won't display, flickr doesn't seem to have that problem, what's more Photopottie wants me to turn my adblocker off when I try viewing pictures on their page, like that's going to happen.

talked with Tom yesterday, he is going to see about getting pics up here.  photo bucket used to be a very reliable no strings attached cloud storage option, i to have a lot of photo bucket uploads but since have migrated over to drop box.

Well hello Scott, I've finally stumbled through the door...

I did repair the photo links in one of the Warco threads, this one has info on both radios including partial schematics(all I bothered to trace out)...  Not much doubt the RF circuitry is similar to the millions of AA5 types that were produced, it's audio & power supplies that make them unique...

They have no model or mfgr info(UL approval? Whats that?) so I refer to them as #1 & #2...

purdy darn simple!  nice of you to post up the voltages.

i would feel compelled to have the on/off sw on the hot leg of the power cord.
this might qualify to make it in the archive here of radio diagrams someone organizes.

I just grab the chassis, if it knocks me on my butt I reverse the plug in outlet... Icon_crazy
Yes it has a polarized cord, is mostly operated from a wall switch...

Anyone taken a good look at the dial pointers???
#9

i did,, threw me for a loop but that aint hard to do with my level of experience.

The black face is strangely similar to Philco... I have a Admiral that has same style pointer as tan faced one...
