37-10 Question

Hello. My father is recapping my 37-10 and he wanted to know if the negative connection on cap 84, which is a double,20 mfd and 10 mfd, and the negative on cap 82 are common. Thanks for any advice.

Yes. And note that it goes to the center tap of the power transformer, not to a chassis ground. The positive of the 10uf (84A) goes to chassis ground.

Thanks Bill. Would you happen to have a diagram of cap 84 and 82 in circuit? He recapped and when he plugged it in, the 5Y3 rectifier was sparking. He quickly unplugged it. Thanks for the help.
