42-1008P 10 inch Record Start Adjustment
#1

My unit has had the BOL swapped out as well as the motor mechanism.

It's not starting at the front of the 10 in when that flapper is flipped over. What adjusts the starting point for the arm when using 10 in records?

With the mod's that have been done is that just a loss of functionality?
#2

The main arm gear has a movable arm that sends the unit down a different trench that was gunked up in place.

Currently working to free it up and get it to ride correctly.
#3

Maybe I'll post a video of what I found so it all makes sense.
#4

Ok so here is a video. Everything is still working fine it was just the cable on that 10 inch flapper that came off the pulley. Messing with it in the position I started it out with in the video causes slack and then it came off.

Also just FYI both of those records are crap and so is my needle. This is all about functionality at this point. I was not worried about harming either record or needle.

Feel like I'm talking to myself but I do have a question.

In manual mode when the record is done the needle stays down and just spins on the record right?

When in automatic mode it will continue to replay a record?

This is all the correct behavior?
#6

Usually,
In automode it will either play it again, or drop another record, if you can stack them, and play again.

Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift
