Trimmer capacitor screws
#1

Refer to Philco 47-1230 console Phono, AM, SW, FM. One of the trimmer capacitor screws has a different style head from the others and is probably not an original screw for this radio. What is the thread size for these screws? It appears to be very fine. All the slots in the screw heads are straight, as is usual, but tuning would be a lot easier if the slots were Phillips style, square, or hex. Is there a source for these screws?

You really should leave the original screws in the trimmer assemblies. You're taking a chance of messing something up by replacing parts that do not need to be replaced.

Good, small flat blade screwdrivers do well in adjusting these trimmers. They should only be adjusted once...when the set is being aligned...and should not need to be touched again for many years if the set is properly restored.
