38-116 and a 665X
#1

I just finished up one of the (2) Philco 38-116's I bought recently.  I didn't need 2 of them, but I couldn't say no to the second one for $50.00.  I have to say, I'm blown away with the sound of it.  It truly is an amazing performer.  I'm planning to finish the second one up at a later date, but I'll be using this one as my main player until then.  I'm also posting some pics of a Philco 665X I did a while back.  The escutcheon is repainted with gloss black, which is too shiny.  I should have used semi-gloss, or satin.  I'll remember for the next one.

They both look great!!!

We're listening to a 37-116 right now...it's the radio we play the most.
