The finish is a bit too shiney in the photo but that was due to taking the snapshot before the finish had dried. I have a new grille cloth on the way! I had a ball doing this one. I'm not much of a 'sparkey' but the cabinets I love to do!

Get a 30-40ft. longwire antenna and a good ground and it will perform very well.
BTW, Philco used the term Highboy cabinet, not Tallboy.

Yes, a "tallboy" is what Chuck and I both drink after a long day at the workbench.
Welcome, Harold! Nice 89L there; looks like good work. I would not have polished the escutcheon to bright brass, but some fellows like to do this.
