Chassis rubber washers for 16B?
#1

Was wondering what the correct rubber chassis washers are for a 16B tombstone 5 band that the chassis sits on in the cabinet? Thanks!!

Those are available from Renovated Radios.

That link is to corner mount feet, not round washers...

If you look around that site you will find them. this is a link to the Philco page: http://www.renovatedradios.com/productli...ondary=114 . Measure the ones you have, and find the closest ones to it.

Sorry, I'm working on a 16 tombstone that does use those corner rubber pieces. I'm guessing other versions of that model used a different chassis washer mounting system. Dunno

These?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

No, my chassis must use round washers because there are recessed round holes in the cabinet floor where they would go... they where gone when I got the radio and just want to make sure I order the right ones so the chassis height is correct for the control shafts to fit through the front panel correctly...

I may have stated wrong too on the cabinet... Mine is the second design, right after the cathedral version, with the flatter top... it is a 5 band code 121...
#9

If the height is a bit off, couldn't you add a washer or two?

Simple.

Measure the diameter of the recessed round hole.

Go to Renovated Radios and find the chassis washer closest to the size you measured (but not larger).

Order four of them.

When they come in, place them in the recessions, put your chassis in place being careful not to move the washers, then learn more colorful words as you attempt to get the chassis bolted back in. Icon_eek But you can do it, you just have to be patient and not get in a hurry.

You can also get them from AES and Radiodaze, AES seems to have better prices though, and they sell Solen non polarized caps which are useful for replacing electrolytic caps, permanently . www.tubesandmore.com
