Philco 41-605 code 121 schematic
#1

Good Morning, friends,
I am new to the phorum, so please be patient with me as I try to figure it all out!   Icon_biggrin

I am spinning my wheels looking for a schematic for a Philco 41-605 code 121.  The code 121 is different than the 41-605 schematics available in Riders and Nostalgia Air and Radio Museum and pretty much every other place I've looked.  My technician explained to me what the difference is, but I'm just the dumb girl in the office, and I don't remember.  (I've also shown him the 41-603 and 41-625, and they are also not the right array.)

Additional information, as this dumb girl understands it, the top views on the schematic for the 41-605 are correct, but it does NOT match the wiring view (different number of cans and gangs).  So, maybe what I'm really looking for is a bulletin for the 41-605????

Any bright ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated.  I'd also welcome any dumb ideas at this point.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi Diane,

Welcome to the Phorum!

The service info we have on the Philco 41-605 is from the Philco 1941 RMS Yearbook:

https://philcoradio.com/library/index.ph...year-book/

Not sure if it's the same as what's in Rider's but since no code is specified it should implicitly be 121 (the default code). That info also includes changes in production that might apply to your particular radio as well.

Update: I took a quick glance at the Nostalgia Air schematic (comes from Rider's):
http://www.nostalgiaair.org/pagesbymodel...013430.pdf

From a basic glance the schematic itself looks the same although the RMS yearbook has more info.

Perhaps if you could find out what the suspected difference is or post a picture of the cabinet model label and/or chassis we might be able to better identify it.

Tracing wires is not hard and as long as the schematic matches the wiring this is pretty much all you need.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

That is actually helpful, thanks. I saw the yearbooks but didn't think about there being additional info. If I can figure out how to add a picture, I will. The technician says he can make it work by eliminating (something) but he's also concerned about what else could be incorrect.

Thank you!!
