What do I have here?
#1

I purchased this at an estate sale with no accompanying information. The tube chassis has stamped “D 14170”. Is that the model #?

Welcome to the Phorum!

That's not a model number - more likely a serial number.

Info here on identifying Philco radios:

Alternatively post a few pictures and we can help.

Hi James and welcome.
To answer your question I'll ask you a question, what Philco model are you servicing??
Part numbers are sometimes hard to sort out when you don't not know what they go to.

Not sure if the post goes w/the 1st three maybe Bob can move it and change it to a separate thread.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Any ideas on what model this is?

Looks like a 42-365K to me. The three tuning bands seem to match as does the cabinet.

Thank you, Bob!

We do not have a good photo of that model in our gallery. If you could take a few shots of it face on, it would make a nice addition. You can post it here or send it to Nathan Slingerland. Thanks much!!!
