#1

I would like to get some info on this model, I received it from a friend, any info would be appreciated.

It's a 1939 model that tunes standard AM broadcast band and shortwave. The 39-55 also has wireless remote control called Mystery Control.

You can learn about the Philco Mystery Control on my website below.

This console model is correctly called the Model 39-55XX. I originally sold for $82.95 in 1939. There were 15,842 units manufactured.

I have one of those. Nice looking little sister to the 39-116.

Only bad thing. These consoles have about a mile of the rubber wiring from that era we all know and love!

IF can wire size and Rubber mounts?
Renovated Radios do carry what you need. As for the voltage, a wire should be at least 300V-rated.morzh — 11:13 PM
