In  the jukebox world, the AMI Continentals are known as the "Jetson Boxes" ( from 1961-1962).  In the audiophile world , Bang and Olufsen is their home stereo counterpart.  Waaaay  cool Paul!  Music

Did you need to  service it in some way?

This was my parents, though frugal children of the depression and WW2 they would spend on a quality item when they could. Later in life they bought this, with turntable and 2 KEF speakers. It weighs 35 pounds I estimate and looked impressively engineered. While this may have been something for me to attempt I know some folks who are factory authorized higher end technicians, they give me a fair price because I have a bit of a relationship with them. One fellow there specializes in B & O so he checked it out thorough, needed some caps, lubed controls, checked all controls and made sure she played well before coming back my way. If I screwed this up he would get to fix anyway. I would not want to ruin this connection to my folks. My Dad loved most types of music and would be happy that it still sounds swell. If it was a swap meet special it would have been a different story.  Paul
