Just when I think I'm done and cruising through alignment on this 38-3...
Schematic number 53, also known as Philco Part Number 31-6147, appears to be doing nothing when I begin the alignment procedure by adjusting the screw. There is no change in the tone coming from the signal generator.  Is it possible that something is stuck on this compensator?

Check the resistance of 51 it may be bad.
