Acoustic clarifier rubber suspension
#1

I have noticed an issue with the 116X I recently purchased. The gum rubber used to link the cone to the frame on the clarifiers has deteriorated to the point that only a sliver is left on each of them.

I know that those used to be reproduced by someone 20 years ago... but I cannot find any reference anymore.

What have people used to replace those?

This is the only thing I've seen about it  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y42KmweyhMM
Don't think that there is any definitive measurement of how effective this approach is.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

If it makes buzzing noise - just remove it.
From what I red, they I not awfully effective anyway.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Here's an earlier thread (and YouTube video link) on replacing with silicone bands:
