Philco 42-1008 122 Phono Transformer
#1

The radio has been completely restored...All caps replaced and resistors that were out of tolerance.Radio plays well on Am
and shortwave with good fidelity. When I try to play MP3 or bluetooth thru the rca plug on the xformer,It sounds real tinny with very little bass.
Is there a problem with the transformer or is the phono xformer not able to have good bass response thru it?
Before I send the BOL off to Westek for rebuild I would like to know if that xformer is good.
Here is a link to the schematic from Nostalgia Air:  http://www.nostalgiaair.org/pagesbymodel...013487.pdf
The part number is:32-8196 for the xformer..The pri reads 103 ohms and the sec reads 1596ohms....RCA input reads around 10 ohms..
TKS in advance...

Those values for your transformer are correct. Good luck with your BOL. I have restored three of them and it is always satisfying to get them to work properly.
